SKAGEN
Skagen
is a town, with a population of approximately 8.000, situated right on the
northernmost tip of Denmark.
It takes its name from the region, which projects into
the waters between the North Sea and the straits of Denmark, and at the
sandy, shifting headland known as Grenen, it is possible to experience the
sight of waves clashing together from each side of the tip.
Skagen - land of light
Skagen is famous for its spectacular light, and for
centuries artists have been drawn to the place to capture the incredible
colors and nature there, including famous Danish painters Anna Ancher and
her husband Michael Ancher.
The impressive sand dunes, the charming miniature
yellow-painted houses and the spectacular light are still found in Skagen,
making it a favorite summer vacation spot for the many out-of-towners who
continue to return every year.
LIVØ
Livø has been a protected island since 1977. It is
accessible by ferry daily between 1 April and 1 September. Dogs and motor
vehicles are not permitted on the island. It is possible to walk around the
entire island in one afternoon, which is about 10 km total distance. Livø is
notable due to its natural beauty, especially at the central, shallow part
of the island near Louisehøj and Louisedal,
where
a hilltop towers 43 meters above the sea. The island is a moraine, pushed up
by ice from Løgstør Broads in the last Ice Age. On the cliffs overlooking
the sea at the northwestern edge of the island, it is possible to see layers
of material that were pushed together during the Ice Age, including jetties
and steep clay slopes. The eastern and southern parts of the island are flat
land with a wide beach ridge that continues south and ends in the protected
Livø wildlife area, which is partly inaccessible to visitors. Herds of
fallow deer live in this protected area, and the wildlife here are several
generations old. The area is also designated as a seal sanctuary and seals
breed here in July–August. The northern part of the island is covered with a
forest where various types of trees grow, with a heath in the northernmost
part. The northern part of the island is 1/3 organic farms, 1/3 woods and
1/3 heath, grasslands and salt marshes.

cafés. Aalborg is of course also the best place to
enjoy the locally produced Aalborg schnapps. The city’s manageable size and
intimate environment provides visitors with space – and time – for each
other.
A city of culture

experiences throughout the year, both indoors and outdoors. Enjoy the works

designer of Australia's
Sydney Opera House.
Pristine nature
Aalborg is located in the beautiful North of Jutland
and offers plenty of scope for nature experiences. Why not take a stroll

area has a rich history that goes even further back. The burial sites at

TIVOLI
Tivoli is a must for all children and those who like to
play. Tivoli is located just a few minutes walk from City Hall, and with the
Copenhagen Central Station as its nearest neighbor it is very easy to get
to.
The new design will consist of two mountain tops of
which the largest is 26 meters above the gardens. In addition there will be
an artificial waterfall with a total drop of over 20 meters on the roller
coaster's side. The waterfall will give the feeling of travelling in the
mountains. The reconstruction will contribute to the on-going development of
Tivoli and will enhance the guests' experience.
The Tivoli rides
Tivoli is the world's second
oldest amusement park and is one of Copenhagen's most famous attractions.
Tivoli is filled with wild rides, green oases, gourmet food, rock concerts

Between Christmas and New Year there is the Tivoli
fireworks festival with fireworks everyday.
Autumn and Christmas
Every year during the autumn holiday Tivoli is
transformed into an enchanted autumn universe full of witches, pumpkins and
lanterns. All rides are running as they do from the middle of November and
throughout December, where Christmas in Tivoli opens its doors.
The little house where H.C. Andersen lived with his parents from the age of 2 to 14, was opened as a museum in 1930. The house contains the very humble rooms which comprised the home of the great fairy tale writer, and to which his dearest memories of childhood are attached.
